Press Release: On 19 February, the new independent documentary Endless Corridor was screened at the prestigious May Fair Hotel in the heart of the British capital. The evening commemorated the victims of the Khojaly Massacre in 1992 – the worst single atrocity of the Armenian–Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh – which claimed the lives of 613 civilian deaths in 1992. The list of those killed included 106 women, 63 children and 70 elderly people.

Press Release: The insightful publication Rising Tides – Facing the Challenges of a New Era by the Rt. Hon. Dr Liam Fox MP was launched in Istanbul on 3 February in a Turkish translation, published by the TEAS Press, which is a division of The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS). The event was appropriately hosted amidst the palatial surroundings of the Pera Palace Hotel Jumeriah, opened in 1892, whose guests have included Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey. The launch was attended by around 150 guests, including H.E.

Press Release: After painstakingly sifting through more than 300 entries from ten countries, submitted by over 50 photographers, the iconic image Gymnast with Pink Ribbon by Azerbaijani professional photographer Dilaver Najafov has been selected by a panel of three leading photographers as the winner of the Azerbaijan – Sport in Focus competition, organised by The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS).

Press Release: The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) facilitated a landmark meeting at the London Stock Exchange on 6 November – the heart of the City of London – between representatives of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and an Azerbaijani delegation. The meeting came a day after the fourth TEAS Business Forum, during which opportunities in the nascent financial services sector and the evolution of capital markets were highlighted as being essential steps towards the further development of the country.

Press Release: The Unresolved Dreams: Azerbaijan’s Refugees and IDPs exhibition opened on 30 October in Berlin, featuring photographs of Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) taken by renowned US photojournalist Ed Kashi. The opening took place in the presence of the photographer and was supported by the German office of The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS).

Marking the inaugural Azerbaijani Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the soul of Azerbaijan was brought to the heart of Europe when members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) from 47 countries, Council of Europe staff, Ambassadors and diplomats based in Strasbourg attended the opening of the Azerbaijan Through the Lens exhibition. Organised by TEAS Belgium, this took place in front of the Council of Europe Hemicycle.
