Religions in the Caucasus – Bernard Outtier

More than 50 theologians, historians, academics and researchers gathered at the Hallam Conference Centre in London for the Religions in the Caucasus conference, organised by TEAS on 3–4 March.

This video contains an interview with Professor Bernard Outtier, Honorary Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia; Director of the National Centre for Scientific Research. He reflects on the lasting linguistic legacy of the Caucasian Albanians, who brought Christianity to Azerbaijan in the 4th Century AD; the ongoing challenges for the Udis, who maintain the Caucasian Albanian legacy; and the deliberate systematic destruction of Caucasian Albania and its people’s identity.
